Your Rules

If you've been here for a bit, you'll notice that I talk about "your rules," "doing things YOUR way", and sometimes "on your terms."

So what exactly does "your rules" mean? And what if you don't know what your way actually is? Well, grab your ☕ and let me explain.

Your Rules, started as my mantra more than a year ago. It was in response to seeing so many people shouting at me on the 'gram about how I "should" do things.

I spent the first 18+ months of biz deep in the online space, learning all I could. As a former Insights person, and #hd5/1, I feel pretty confident telling you I saw a LOT of this. So much, that I ignored what I'd practiced for 18 years in marketing. I thought surely they all know better than me because they're making $X in X months. Ever thought that?

It was around this time last year when I realized that a lot of what works for one person MAY work for others, but it's not always true.

"Okay, Jen, get to the point"

I had a literal💡 moment and remembered that when I always approached my corporate clients with understanding what would work best for them, their audience, and their biz situation.

That showed up as #authenticmarketing (peep my old posts for info that), and I've gone even further now to what we could call Authentic Business.

Doing things your way means, what do YOU want to do? What do YOU want your business to look like? And if you don't know that, that's OK. That's one of the things I'm here to help you figure out. If you do know what that looks like, then we figure out what strategies will work specifically for you.

I say "we" because it's literally not about me. It's about you.

Do I give you ideas? Yup. Do I tell you what you 'should' do? Nope.

And it's not all about marketing. My 1:1 clients typically come to me with wanting to make their business work better. Sometimes, we cover marketing. Sometimes we don't. It's really about what they need. Come back on Wednesday, where I'm going to share all the things we can work on!

I’m currently accepting new clients. Click here to schedule a call, or here to shoot me an email 🤩
