Do you have a strategy?

When you hear the words "content strategy" does that mean anything to you? Or does it just sound like a buzz word?

What about marketing strategy or social media strategy? Same?

I've been a strategist my entire career, and I can tell you that "strategy" in general is used in many ways, some clear and some vague.

The truth is, strategy is ultimately what gives you the roadmap, or blueprint, for HOW you’re going to achieve your goals.

For a lot of you, social media is your main marketing “tool,” which means you should have a social media strategy. And yes, I used “should” because it is that important.

Your strategy does not need to be complicated. The more complicated, the less likely you are to follow it…and I know you know how important #consistency is :)

A smart, simple social strategy only has 5 parts:

  • Objectives or goals

  • Audience

  • Content Pillars

  • Platforms

  • Plan for creating and posting

I’m working on some new resources, and would love to know what would be the most helpful for YOU. Would you:

A: like a free resource to walk you through how to create your own social media strategy?

B: like to have a free resource that goes deeper on one of the specific parts?
